Three days at sea with my daughter

I will be spending three days at sea with my daughter for her 25th birthday. The voyage begins on Sunday 5/24/15 with a cruise of the souther Caribbean. I expect to be savaged by pirates or be lost in the deep of the Bermuda triangle. If we are lucky enough to get a cabin with a balcony then I should be able to swim out as the boat capsizes. An interior cabin will of course entomb me in the bowels of the ship for all eternity. All I can think of is that poor devil from south Africa that was trapped in an air pocket for almost 2 days before being rescued by deep sea divers...of course I would never be so lucky.

Eulogy for Douglas Arnold Frost 1963-20XX

Eulogy for Douglas Arnold Frost 1963-20XX

Douglas Frost, husband, father, brother, son.  He was a good man, a kind man, a wise man, an active and involved man, a man seemingly in constant motion.  It was this constant motion, trying to stay one step ahead that would ultimately define him as the great man he was and how we shall all remember him.

Yes it comes as no surprise that he was counted on daily by family, friends, everyone.  Whether it was laundry, picking up the house, cooking multiple meals for a family after a full day of work, caring for a pack of friendly dogs or puttering around the yard, it was Douglas who kept the engine of his family running smoothly.

Virtually abandoned by society and people who perpetually would seek contentment in the ridiculous and foolishness of obvious mental instability, it was Douglas who was left to shoulder the burden and take on the responsibility thrust upon him day after day.  Without complaint he sallied forth, his health failing, a broken body savaged by illness and the relentless tasks of daily life it was Douglas who defined perseverance in the face of the impossible.

When death finally came to him it was not the unwelcome reaper that many of us have grown to fear but a warm friendly sweet embrace that Douglas must have prayed for low these many years.  It is now that we must rejoice for him, having attained his great reward after a life of toil and tribulation.  We say goodbye to Douglas now, wishing him peace and happiness in an afterlife filled with thanks, prepared meals and green grass.  It is this solace and contentment that we hope he finds in death for he found little of it here amongst the living.

Sleep well brother you are tasked no moreā€¦..

Hello and what are you eating?

Looks like someone is trying to get noticed...or at least find out what is being eaten.

It is by will alone I set my mind in motion

It is by will alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the juice of Sapho that thoughts acquire speed, the lips acquire stains. The stains become a warning. It is by will alone I set my mind in motion.
